I plan on being in Robbinsville NC October 19 and 20, 2023. My plan is to drive the Tail of the dragon/Cherohala loop. 21st drive to Dawsonville GA. It would be great to have others join in. Have a coffee or cold beverage. Let me know.

That sounds like fun - perfect time of the year too! I don't think I can swing it due to other goings on but am not discounting it totally! No matter, you'll have a good time. :thumbup:

well, right on queue, I had to get a new front tire this morning before heading out Wednesday.

A group of us were scheduled for a 3+ hour drive up the coast a few years ago and, as I pulled out of the driveway, one of my CV joints just shattered and the car wouldn't move. After figuring out what happened, I remember thinking exactly this... I've broken down on the coast before, and it's a 3 or 4 hour ordeal to get a tow home.
