Any idea what changes are rumored/going to be made to the 992 TTS Gen 2?
Every “Gen 2” provides an opportunity for Porsche to make material upgrades (curious on what current owners would like to see changed).
Name on list for 992.2

Hard to nitpick a 992 TTS but there are a couple of minor things.Greg2010 wrote: Sun Jan 29, 2023 5:04 pm Any idea what changes are rumored/going to be made to the 992 TTS Gen 2?

Already common knowledge, but most of gauge tubes #1 & #4 of the cluster dash (the far left and far right dials) are hidden behind the steering wheel when sitting in a normal position. (IE: one's nose is not resting on the center of the steering wheel.) The look and design is of the dash is gorgeous but it's tough to see much on those two outer dials even when craning your neck (which is not very wise while driving). There's not necessarily anything critical to be seen in the two spots but they do contain information. So, to avoid trying to look and see what's there, I just get rid of it all by occasionally setting the gauge cluster to Reduced mode for relaxed cruising. It's a very clean look.
I don't see an easy design fix to the current layout (the cockpit in its entirety is stunning) and, in fact, I would be concerned that the end result of any redesign would be way too radical or worse, a horror show. Therefore my vote would be to leave it alone and live with it. ...How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Dash...

I hear you! I'm being tempted by a .1 Cab that is scheduled to arrive March 17.Porsche4Live wrote: Sun Jan 29, 2023 9:38 am FYI my dealer told me that the 992.2 may not be out until MY25 according to internal communications.
Don't get me wrong - everything in the public points to the 992.2 being released as MY24 so that may just be so I don't skip on the .1 allocation.

Tim, is that truffle brown? Sorry if I've asked before, but its gorgeous. Was going to order it and chickened out at the last minute. I didn't know you could change the dash like that -- I'll have to do that. As you say, those side gauges are completely obscured by the steering wheel.
The one thing I've seen in several spy shots is that the dash won't have the real tach anymore and therefore no tach bezel in the middle. I guess we'll find out for sure soon enough...

Yes, Truffle Brown w/Chalk stitching. The seat belts are also Truffle which ended up looking even better to me than I thought they would. I added extra leather too (seat backs, center console, sun visors, dashboard. door panels) because I figured the brown would show well and it does.Tom wrote: Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:26 pm Tim, is that truffle brown? Regarding the dash, while I like the info from the regular gauge setup, I've found that once I know that parameters are where I want (water & oil temps, tire pressures, etc.) then the Reduced view is perfect for cruising. Less distracting and less busy.
I need to do some halfway decent interior shots and post them at some point. Pics give others ideas about what works and what doesn't, along with an opportunity to see if a particular layout is something that they like or dislike.
PS: Thanks Tom!!
