A bump for the Cayenne thread!!!

Bath time!
(From a few years ago when I had a sudden attack of car wash motivation...)

Is that one of those foam cannon things? Think they are worth it vs. a bucket and microfiber towel?

Probably not (ok, no) but it was something different so I tried it when it was trendy a few years back. It looks cool when the car is all foamy, so you have that as incentive. :-) It is easy to use.

However, a proper wash bucket, proper cleaning products, clean microfibers, and a little gentle elbow grease will always be necessary anyway unless the car is already clean. The foam will remove any light garage-borne dust, but so will careful use of SpeedShine! So yes, foam is a bit pointless.

But, it doesn't hurt anything and having the small electric Sun Joe pressure washer out if foaming (or not) is quite helpful for rinsing, cleaning wheels/wheel wells, undercarriage, etc. (So much easier with the small electric vs a heavy duty gas pressure washer like the big Honda-powered unit I have and never use. It's a beast but not for vehicles!)

In sum, the answer to your question is mostly a "no" for me.

Besides, I have an excellent detail/PPF/ceramic coating shop nearby that I use. That's the ticket!
