@Tom Thank you for the tag brackets. They are awesome and now my bumper is not drilled.

Can these be used if your bumper has already been drilled? I liked how it holds the plate off the bumper when I saw it on Eric’s GTS.
PS will these work for 2018 991.2?

Yes and yes. (I made the very first set for the 2018 991.2 I had at the time.). If your only goal is to get it off the bumper, you could also use nylon spacers from the hardware store. You'd need to use longer sheet metal screws into the plastic bumper, which just feels un-Porsche-like to me, but it would probably work ok as long as you are not removing the plate frequently (like for track days)... That said, more than happy to get you a set of mine if you want them.Pcarnut wrote: Mon Nov 28, 2022 6:46 pm Can these be used if your bumper has already been drilled? Speaking of which, I might want to get a set of license plate mounts for my 992 TTS if a version is available. I love the ones I got from you for the GT4. That plate gets removed a lot Tom, so your mounts are a life saver (ok, bumper saver) for me. The previous holes were wearing out no matter how careful I was removing the plate.Tom wrote: Mon Nov 28, 2022 8:20 pmYes and yes. (I made the very first set for the 2018 991.2 I had at the time.). Anyway, since your thread title was "718 Solid ABS License Plate Mounts", I assumed that you had not yet started making them for 911's.

The 718 mounts came long after the 991 mounts actually. Then when I bought my own 992 TTS, I updated the original 991 mounts to make them compatible with the 992, 991.1, 991.2, and 981... See all about them here:blueline wrote: Mon Nov 28, 2022 8:41 pm

Thanks Tom. The plate was installed at the dealer when the car arrived earlier this year and I've not yet removed the plate. I'll do so tomorrow to be sure there are no issues and will get the mounts ordered afterwards.

Hmmm... can you post a picture of where the rear plate mounts, without the plate on?igrip wrote: Wed Nov 30, 2022 10:06 pm Any chance of making these for a 996? My plate comes on and off often.
