Broken Cycling valve. Options?
Since you are looking for a temporary fix, you can tap the existing plastic housing and glue in some pipe thread to hose barbs. You will not want to torque them in as the tapered threads would easily crack the housing. Almost free alternative.

Yes! Thank you. I was about attempt this (or a version of it) but someone in A FB group graciously offered to send one that they no longer needed! I may actually still try this to see if it works as a backup.944er wrote: Sat May 16, 2026 10:40 am Since you are looking for a temporary fix, you can tap the existing plastic housing and glue in some pipe thread to hose barbs. Hi Y'all, first post here I am normally on Pelican.
I did this to my CV a while back and used it for multiple years before I put in a mac valve and home made EBC. I just J.B welded two copper tubes in it.

The Lindsay Boost Enhancer is a simple and excellent way to get boost a little quicker. FYI it's a simple "ball and spring" thing that you can get from China for peanuts. It just blocks the line to the CV and opens where you set it (ex. 10 psi). I've been using this and really like it.
Then you just use the stock CV valve or an MBC (bleed type pressure kn*b like you find on an air compressor) as your total boost protection.
No chip needed.. but I do like the little extra response from my A-Tune chip. I think it advances timing more (I keep stock-like total boost)
