Great video as usual from JFO! I'd be tempted to take a 4" hole saw to the pan below the drain plug, add a few Rivnuts, and make up an access panel, so you can use to drain the oil without taking all the other panels off.

That’s a good idea! Need more than a hole saw though because I’ll need access to the filter.

FYI - I haven't done a change on the 718 but I've found that often times when you remove the oil filter more oil comes out... (whatever is in the lines to and from the filter housing). While it's a tiny amount, you may want to remove the oil filter with the drain plug out just to be sure.

Great video! I think I need to pick up the license plate stand-offs! I just got a 2019 718 Cayman Base model for autocross. So far I've changed the plugs, air filter, cabin/hvac filters, brake flush, and inspected a few other items. Drive belt tensioner is failing (covered in oil/hydraulic fluid) and a transmission leak of some sort - or assumed to be a transmission leak. Still have the factory warranty on it so I'll be taking it in for those two items. Oil change is next on my agenda.
