Clutch blow by valve

I was noticing when on a ertain part of Club Motorsports track (coming out of T5), that when I changed up from 2nd to 3rd quickly, I would occasionally get the clutch "balking" as if it did not want to really bite (as apposed to slipping). Didn't happen all the time. Talking to a BMW mechanic friend of mine, he said that later BMWs have a "blow back" valve that will restrict the flow of fluid under certain situations (ie; trying to do burn outs by repeated dropping clutch).

Does anyone know if the (981 GT4 has this "blow back" valve fitted?

Thanks,
Nick

The 718 does have this valve, it is a plug with a hole in it to restrict the flow of the clutch fluid. Think of it like the restrictor on a low flow shower head.

On my 718 it is in the slave cylinder where the clutch line connects. Simply disconnect the clutch line and use a small screw to pull out the restriction. Will require bleeding the clutch though.
