I picked up six M16 x 1.0 pitch x 110mm long bolts including fender washers to distribute the load better.
I had tons of spare lumber wood scraps around so I made use of them.

You could hang about 1000lbs off what I made up.

Yours still has the protection and oil you put on all the journals
