I know that a 944NA bellhousing is different from a 951, but is the flywheel also different? If so, what's the difference?
Thanks.

Michael, the turbo utilizes a larger diameter friction disc which of course requires a larger diameter flywheel surface. The o.d.'s of the two flywheels are the same but the inner step diameter is increased in the turbo example to accommodate the larger disc. The turbo pressure plate actually mounts to the same surface as the friction disc without a step / shoulder between them like in the na version. Happy to get photos or dimensions if you need them.

Thank you barnwerks! This is what I was looking for. I may have a few more questions on dimensions, and will get back to you. Cheers.

Top photo is 951, bottom is 944.
Sometimes it's difficult to understand if you can't visualize. Some further 944 vs. 951 clutch/flywheel differences:
Clutch diameter 951 is 240mm
Clutch diameter 944 is 225mm
You can't mix and match clutches and flywheels between the 2 models.
If using a 951 clutch and FW, you must use a 951 bellhousing.
