Has anyone else supercharged their 944??? Curious to hear about it. What obstacles did you encounter and how did you overcome them…

 I supercharged my car.

Obstacles? There are many. I Needed to remove AC compressor, pop-up headlight motors replaced with manual brackets. Running VEMS now after a long road with the Rogue tuning NA -tune MAF conversion. Finding space for the supercharger, intercooler piping, bypass, etc is a bit challenging. I started my supercharger project just over 10 years ago and I’m still tweaking it. I had originally done all the piping in Stainless steel, I just finished doing it all in aluminum. It’s been a very fun, but at some times very frustrating project. I do love it though. I owned a 944 turbo for a while and while much faster I’ll take the power delivery of the SC anyday. It’s not easy to supercharge a 944 but when it works, it’s very satisfying.

Are you using the Factory AFM or did you switch to a MAF system??? I’m running a Procharger system from Speed Force Racing…..

I’m running a VEMS standalone which utilizes a MAP sensor. I originally ran it through a MAF but didn’t really like how it ran.

What are you running for fuel management?

I’m using the 944 Turbo intercooler, Factory Bosch Turbo injectors, And the Augtronic ECU setup from Lindsey Racing, Making adjustments as I go forward…. It IS like you mentioned a project in the works that not TOO many people have done….

Did you have to run an oil line to it or is it self contained??

My goal was to go NO further than 250HP I haven’t had any Dyno Pulls yet, But I’m guessing that I’m around 225 to the wheels, I’ve upgraded the stock CV axle joints to take 400HP But as you mentioned it IS a project in motion EVERY day….. I’ll post some pictures when I get back from work….👍👍👏👏

It is self contained.
