It was the clock spring. SA called to tell me yesterday, and that they were having a bit of difficulty with the software but hoped to get it to "take." Called this afternoon to say the car was ready.

First I Loooove the CF steering wheel. I have several cars. one alcantera one full leather one CF. I wear driving gloves for all of them . Maybe that’s a cheaper solution . Especially if you like the looks

I've purchased another wheel, CF and black leather. I'm hoping I can get it covered in all Espresso leather with Cognac stitching. I'm just not the driving glove type. So right now I have the OE heated CF wheel with Espresso leather, a non heated Espresso leather with Cognac stitching wheel, and the aforementioned CF with black leather heated. Gotta sell some wheels!

Oh wow. Just finished this thread. I have an '18 with the GTS interior and I am not a fan of the Alcantara steering wheel and really want to get the leather. Can anyone who is familiar with both confirm that the leather version is a bit chunkier than the Alcantara? Secondly is there a second hand market for Alcantara wheels as that would take the sting out of buying a $1500 leather replacement...

I can't help you on the thickness, I have 3 wheels but they are either all leather or leather/CF. I'm stuck right now, Dallas Custom wheel has no interest in helping me with my situation and won't take any of my wheels for partial credit. Apparently removing the CF isn't an option and they just put leather over it which results in a too thick rim.
