Assuming I have all your dimensions right, think this will work?

Sure looks like it would! I'd have to get it in hand to fit it and see, but it looks perfect for the application!

I missed today's mail, but will send this tomorrow. Let's see how this fits and take it from there....

After driving the new Mini Cooper works car 4,000 miles across the country and then immediately going to the track and chasing around my buddies in their modified GT3 track car and inter series Cayman race car……yes, I feel like I am being dragged everywhere!!

The prototype arrived today, and man did my measurements pan out! The only change I will recommend to Tom is narrowing the distance between the mounting holes by .5mm. They are just a tad snug on the mounting posts, but even then, it still fits onto the trim without much force!

I'm also going to see if this will be a viable solution for the doors. The factory tweeter mounts on the "outside" of the door card and is then covered by a tweeter grill. If I can find appropriate hardware, I believe there is enough room on the inside to use this mount without any change.

I'll report back what I find out!

Sweet! I'll move the post holes in a smidge, and get a least two printed when I get the stronger plastic. Let me know if they work for the doors and/or if they'd work with some tweaks. 3D printing stuff like this still feels like a magic trick to me --think up a part and it comes spitting out of a machine! It's a seriously useful tool for gearheads!

I can’t thank you enough, Tom! I was so mad when I messed up the tweeter, then felt better when I made that mount out of the original housing, but having a tailor made mount is even better!
