Few more updates from this weekend:

1. Sorted out a wiring problem from the 14-pin DME connector to my aux panel. I have one trigger wire from Pin 3 that triggers three relays simultaneously in the aux panel. One is for the cooling fans, one for the interior electrical components (e.g. O2, Knocksense, etc.) and one for the coils and fuel injectors. I had the relay trigger wired in series and no bueno. Had to take that apart and wire in parallel so they all trigger now.

2. Wired up 12V to the car to start checking everything else electrical. I have never had +12v to the battery cables. Main reason for this is to test HVAC box to make sure everything is working after the rebuild (steppers, etc.). The only thing I can't test yet is vacuum, but all of the steppers seem to respond to the control panel inputs and the blower fan works.

3. Since the HVAC box seems to be working, I set the dash in place. It is not bolted down yet, but now I can figure out where to place other things (e.g. mounting O2 gauge, 'KLR2.0' box, wiring lengths, etc.)

4. Have yet to make the other part of the wiring harness to feed the 'KLR2.0' box. One issue was placement and wire length which can now be sorted.

ONE PROBLEM TO SORT - my DME relay is not sending 12V to pins 2 and 3 in the 14 pin via the ignition switch (it is a new switch but have to do more testing). The fuel pump DOES work if I jumper pin 87b, so I know the relay is getting power from the 30 circuit. Tried two different relays which both test good on the initial run phase, so I believe I have a problem with the pin in the CE Panel?

Coils in place on the bracket. One more fuel favor line to run from the J-boot to the Air Oil Separator (deleted the spider's web metal piece so have to run a line).

Made a new kick panel for the computer area...the original water damaged one on the left.

Spending a bit of time with the wiring diagrams paid off. As the interior of this car had pretty much been completely gutted prior to my ownership, I have several boxes of parts. Realized on the wiring that the 15 circuit for the DME relay passes through the alarm controller - which is how the ignition is disabled when the alarm is set. With box not plugged in, there was no way for the circuit to complete, thus no power to pin 85 on the DME. I have the alarm module, but for now have just jumpered the connector and voila, I have power to my aux box and the ecu.

Thanks for reading!
