My wife's Maserati Levante (in the background in one of the pics) also has the red/black interior. The nice surprise was that Porsche did red contrast stitching in the black leather bits in the new Cayenne. In my wife's 981 Boxster S, I had to order the red contrast stitching through the Porsche Exclusive program. I find that an all black interior with the black exterior in something as big as the Cayenne is too much black. The Cayenne also has carbon fiber interior trim and a heated carbon fiber steering wheel. The car was delivered yesterday. Next week I will drive to FL to visit the in-laws. It will be great to get past the first 1000 miles to use Sport+ and hear the sport exhaust howl.blueline wrote: Wed Mar 29, 2023 6:36 pmGreat looking Cayenne Coupe! I'm probably too chicken to do an interior like yours if we ever trade ours but I love it! The Bordeaux Red & Black is awesome. Very nice!wem wrote: Wed Mar 29, 2023 4:30 pm Here are some pics of my new 2023 Cayenne S Coupe Platinum Edition. By the way, I just noticed that you have PCA specialty plates - good on PA for making those available. How cool is that! I have no idea, but I would guess there aren't many states offering PCA license plates.Hmwbugte wrote: Wed Mar 29, 2023 4:39 pm I joined www.Carpokes.com today and here are a couple of photos of my 2023 Cayenne Platinum Edition in Chalk (Exterior and Interior) with Graphite Blue interior accents. I named it “Bruce” (from Jaws). It is great to join and I look forward to getting to know you folks. I have two 911’s too…I’ll get to those shortly.

So which SUV are you going to like better, yours or your wife's Maserati? (Trick question - don't answer.)wem wrote: Wed Mar 29, 2023 7:34 pmMy wife's Maserati Levante (in the background in one of the pics) also has the red/black interior. Sport Plus is gonna be fun once it's broken in. I generally drive in Sport since Sport Plus is a bit extreme for normal driving but it is definitely strong. Of course, since it's my wife's SUV and I rarely drive it, it spends that part of its life entirely in Normal mode. How sad.
I imagine you have the 20-second boost button. It's pretty awesome in our Cayenne. (It's mind boggling in the 911 TTS - a wild animal.) Have fun!
I saw a black Platinum Edition Cayenne in the showroom with a sold sign at our Porsche dealer yesterday. Great looking vehicle that was awaiting delivery.

My wife always drives in Sport in her vehicles. Fortunately for me she grew up around cars. Her dad raced on weekends at Lime Rock Raceway and was the President of the Connecticut Ferrari Club. The Boxster is hers. The Maserati is hers too, but it is going back to the dealer in a few weeks (leased). The new Cayenne (not leased) is the fifth one we have owned. The Maserati has a great engine/exhaust, but the boss lady wanted to go back to another Cayenne. The new one is her favorite so far. I need to install her new radar detector this weekend before she gets pulled over. I can’t wait to try the boost button after break in is done. That was one of the great things about my Taycan. EVs have no break in period (other than the brake pads and tires), and it was one giant boost button.

Great post! Probably good that you recognize who's the boss. Let her know that she has good taste since she likes the Cayenne better than the Mazi. My wife loves her Cayenne - she drives well but not aggressively. She does a lot of cringing when I drive, which is how it is when we go somewhere together. She hides her cringes well however and never says anything, so hats off to her. (This is the same girl who gets on a bicycle and rides forever on country roads and streets which is kind of nuts to me - she's currently on a trip with friends in rural Texas and rode 81 miles today.)wem wrote: Wed Mar 29, 2023 8:23 pm My wife always drives in Sport in her vehicles. Wise on the radar detectors - I have one in every car, even my wife's Cayenne. (I know, but I need it for the infrequent times I drive it.) Based on your wife's desire to ride around in Sport, you better get yours installed ASAP!

Maybe I should post a photo of our Cayenne that doesn't show it covered in foam like the one posted a few months back.
Here are a couple of pics on the showroom floor just before taking delivery 4+ years ago in January 2019. (Time sure does fly.)
I'll try to get some current pics when it's cleaned up which might happen next week.

She's a trooper! It rained early today so they didn't start their ride until around 2pm, so only 36 miles ridden today. (I know all of this because I can track progress, miles, route, location, etc. via eCrumb using Road ID.)
A friend's 2013 Cayenne Diesel that he's got looking really good pictured below. I think he's done more to it since this photo which was from last Fall.
I'm still trying to learn Porsche internal model designations (or at least corral them so that I can easily look them up). If my info is correct, that makes his a 958.1 2nd generation Cayenne. It definitely looks ready to go!

Here is mine pulling the 71 911.
That was 5 years ago. Ready for the 1st autocross in the last season I run the green 911. I won the championship with it in Prepared/Modified class that last year.
Here is a video of my best run with the green 911 on that event.

Nice tow vehicle, wonderful 911 on the trailer (even if it has since been taken apart and put back together), and great AX video Englebert! Good driving too. I've only done a few AX's way back when but I had fun! (Mostly, anyway.) I'm happier on track - AX cones all look alike and confuse me! All kidding aside, AX's are outstanding.Carmagic wrote: Thu Mar 30, 2023 6:20 pm Here is mine pulling the 71 911.

By the way, I just noticed the name for your 911 - Froggy! Gotta love it!!!
Why don't you start an AX topic of your events on the Racing sub-forum and post some short videos there? I need to get back to work on the Racing sub as I have more that I'd like to post but time is an issue. Meanwhile, I could sure use some help there. My idea would be for people like yourself to start subtopics with vids, experiences, tracks, cars, travails - all of it. Just something to think about.
Thanks, and as you often say, Cheers!
PS - the Carmagic Clock is still lookin' good!
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention it - your helmet is the Bomb!
