Thanks for the tip on McMaster. I have not surfed their site before, they have all kinds of good stuff.
I divide my life into two eras: pre-McMaster and post-McMaster. Their selection of hard-to-find hardware is simply unmatched, and the quality is never a mystery since they publish tolerance specs, detailed engineering drawings, and even CAD files for most parts. They actually beat Amazon shipping times to my house too. If I order by 5, I get most parts before lunch the next day...
My needs are few since I don't undertake the kinds of intense projects many here do, but per Tom's wise guidance, I made a small McMaster order. Tom is 100% correct - no overstatement whatsoever. The quality is almost unheard of these days and the well-organized website is chock-full of countless items, most of which you thought you never needed. Just buying something from them and admiring the high-quality product when it arrives is fulfilling. 8-)

On several occasions, I've downloaded and 3D-printed their CAD files to see if a part will work for me. Pretty amazing they have files for most of their hardware parts. And I misspoke.... per their website, I have until 7pm to order, with delivery by noon the next day at standard UPS ground rates!
