On an FDM printer, anything with CF or glass fiber would probably be best. I did a run of them in a very hard glass-fiber resin and I 'think' they would fit/survive a regular envelope to Belgium (no customs, nor parcel costs, etc.). If you want me to try sending one that way, just PM me your mailing address. :)
Thanks, that's very kind. I'm using a local makerspace to print the design (+ your timing belt tool) for me. It should be ready for pickup tomorrow, so I'll let you know how it worked!

Update: they printed the key and I finally had time to try it out. It definitely worked better than an inbus but after a few clicks the key twisted on itself. See picture. I just hope my FQS is in the 0 position... I'm not 100% sure.

I wonder if anyone is selling a metal version of this key.

How on earth?!? Did they print it in chewing gum? The FQS doesn't have enough resistance to do that unless there was something seriously wrong with that print, or you were trying to force it past its stop points with way way too much force. Shoot me your address and I'll send you one in a glass reinforced resin that is seriously strong. Or if you don't want to wait, get a golf tee and whittle the end into the right triangular shape.

I'll have to ask when I go pick up the other parts. But they did alter the STL file to make the printer print the key laterally and not in height if that makes sense. They said it would be stronger because the fibers would be longer :think: :think:
I'll PM you once I verify if my car has the required holes for the heater console! :-)
