Coolant Leak When Refilling System

Quick update, it turns out it was indeed the water pump, along with me slightly overfilling the system. Not sure why the pump wasn't really showing any signs when performing a system pressure test.

My guess is that the pump leaking + me slightly overfilling the system lead to a large mess of coolant on the ground. :lol:

Slightly disappointing as the pump was replaced less than a year ago.

Checking motor and area underneath at night with a black light will reveal coolant like a crime scene.

When checking be sure to have a/c on full in defrost mode and verify there’s no coolant in the condensation drain water from the heater core.

When cracked, the coolant reservoir will play Russian roulette with your motor. It’ll bleed coolant off as a very slight vapor. Just as your motor hits critical overheat, there’s no coolant left and warped head + gasket occurs.
