Intake pipe came with the car, needs a little repair!
The cam sensor is an Audi unit with my own adapter plate and trigger wheel. Hall effect and looks pretty cool.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the Lindsey manifold (owner already had it) but after working with it the access to stuff around the turbo is really nice

Do you sell those adapters and do you have a crank trigger or using flywheel? I'll need to get this figured out soon.

The Lindsey intake looks like a dog's dinner but at least it delivers.

I’ll take ease of serviceability/simplicity over esthetics, or even I’m some cases outright performance, any day…

That looks similar to SFR's original set-up from way back when. I'd be reluctant to mount the sensor to the turnbuckle, but I'm sure those sensors are infinitely more forgiving than the factory's variable reluctance sensors.

That looks similar to SFR's original set-up from way back when. I'd be reluctant to mount the sensor to the turnbuckle, but I'm sure those sensors are infinitely more forgiving than the factory's variable reluctance sensors.

The clewett kit is my favorite solution I’ve seen and is what I ended up using. That turn buckle kit looks like it uses a Hall effect sensor which are certainly less robust than a VR sensor when it comes to heat and vibration…The simplicity of the Hall effect is definitely nice though!

Clewett makes good stuff. I was just pushing Clewett's spark plug wires the other day. They are my favorite at any price, yet they sell them for less than half of some similar/lesser wires.

On the sensors, I just meant forgiving in terms of not needing to be gapped and placed in precisely the right location in order to get a good pulse -- such that they can be mounted like that. But yes the factory sensors will survive just about anything other than physical damage. If the connectors/wiring didn't fail so soon, they'd last the life of the car I bet. With his sensors, I'm sure Chris' solution works just fine. If not, I'm sure he would have figured that out sometime over the last 20+ years.

11 years with zero issues and I don't have to mess with oil pan bolts. Clewett was overpriced for what you get IMO.

If it works if works, and 11 years is pretty good proof. I've never looked at any of Clewett's stuff other than the spark plug wires. The wires are a good value I'd say, but no idea about their other stuff.
