Thanks Stormy Monday, right now it is Stormy Sunday in Nebraska --- lovely day, currently 28 degrees with light snow!

Please send us topless pictures so we ( in the Heartland ) can envy you folks in the Sunshine State!

Well, down in AZ I came across a new issue. Yes, there is no snow in Scottsdale, but there is searing heat over a lot of the year and this year book all records. The cars here were garaged of course,. but no A/C in the garage so months at 120 or more. There is a misconception among Canadians about how well cars do down here:

Assumption:
Well, if you have a car in Arizona you'll have no trouble maintaining it..there is no rust, cars last forever.
Reality:
The extreme summer heat of Arizona in summer fries all kind of stuff...
I have replaced the wiring harness in my SL , wiring cracks, replaced a fair bit of the plastic trim around the seat bases as they cracked like eggshells, have had four flatspotted tires from the heat, and this year had a new development: some of the buttons on the dash,, (lock/unlock/hazard) have actually begun to MELT and are sticky to touch as if covered in toffee. Not repairable so they have to take dash off to get to the darn things- an expensive job. I would never leave a Porsche down here over the summer...

Back to Canada to deal with the 997RS , the last car to go to storage next week, and hopefully I can forget about everything put away for winter.

Well, dang, RD, Nebraska seems pretty darn good right now. Low traffic , only warm in the Summer, and a little snow in the Winter, but right now gas is only $2.95 to 2.99! Things don't melt and my attached garage never freezes, even though it is not directly heated , so thank you, I never realized I had it so good, haha!

Final prep activity pre-winter was to pick up my 16 year old RS from the dealer - all ready for storage. Ran into a much younger and quick descendant there:).........
