Done! I left a shadow copy on the Macan sub that will also remain there for a few days.

I should clarify that I mostly only do one-day track days anymore. For years I towed (track-only, full race-built SCCA-spec 2009 Z06) but I decided I wanted to simplify things, hence the direction I took with the GT4. I try to stay with tracks that are a few hours drive. Get up early, drive there in the GT4, do sessions, drive home that evening.
I still have my trailer so can do longer jaunts if desired but driving there and back in the GT4 is much more relaxing and fun for me - I no longer have to spend a day loading the truck, loading the car on the trailer, hauling everything there and back and unloading it all when I get home.
Downside is no tools, fans, generator, pop-up, cool box, and a host of other accoutrements that are helpful. Don't have my spare tires/wheels either, and since I rotate religiously side to side after every track day (wear, etc), I decided to just keep track days to a single day at a time. (With the Z06 I would bleed all four corners at the end of every day too.)

Ah, but Blue Blood you miss out on the camaraderie of two day events you trailer too, where you can mesmerize folks with tales of how fast you were, all the tracks you have run, along with likely enjoying a fine dinner and a glass of wine with fellow Porschefiles! Just saying..................
