Thanks Tom. I've never been happy with Koni's harshness on our "country roads". Which camber plates did you go with?

While the KWs are a great shock, they aren't perfect. Mine required a few little tweaks or strengthening. I went for the custom '2 way' race versions which did come with adj camber plates but they were not up to the standard of the shocks themselves. Best option is the Racer's Edge version which also allow for more droop than the KW ones. Great combination. Not cheap but definitely worth it in my experience. https://racersedge-inc.com/suspension/?page=3 In fact I have quite a few of their other upgrades on my car even now. Worth shopping through their 'menu' imho.Doyle623 wrote: Wed Sep 27, 2023 7:14 pm I'm considering putting a set of KW V3's on my 86 951. For those who have purchased these, do they come with camber plates?

I've ordered a set of KW V3 (street version) shock absorbers...still waiting for them to arrive. I am also going with racer's edge camber plates. For those who have installed the KW's, did you go with aftermarket spring hats or did you stick with the HDPE (plastic) spring hats that come standard?

I kept the plastic spring hats that came with the KW V3 when I had mine installed about 12 years ago. No issue to report so far after 65k+ street miles. I think they are a great offering for a street car, and although the low speed bypass valves may not be as effective now as they were when new, the car still handles brilliantly IMO.

How much does a set of KW V3 run nowadays?Doyle623 wrote: Sat Jan 13, 2024 8:16 am I've ordered a set of KW V3 (street version) shock absorbers...still waiting for them to arrive. $3,549.00 directly from KW. They also had an end of year sale, which offered a $300 mail in rebate on the V3 shocks...so technically 3249 after that.

I was thinking they cost way less, and sure enough - I got mine for around $3k via Design911. They've only gone up about $100 since! Shipping to the US was just under $200, so the different shrinks away pretty fast...I worked in some other parts that were cheaper in the EU/UK to help ease things a bit.
I also stuck with the HDPE hats. Racer's Edge ones will fit, but will need to be turned down to fit the 60mm KW springs.
