The IndyCar season finale is not going to be on the streets of NashVegas after all as the construction chaos of building the new Titans domed stadium next to the existing one has made it an impossibility for this year and probably next. They are moving the race to Nashville Superspeedway. IndyCar raced there for a number of years in the past (2001 through 2008) and NASCAR has an annual race there now, so familiar ground for the drivers and the teams.

A mid-season change for IndyCar seems odd but it's what they're doing. Hybrids are now part of the deal there, presumably from this point forward. Will be interesting to see how it all goes, especially with the first race.

Choices (and rules) about when and how they can use the hybrid technology will abound, I'm sure.

The in-car controls that drivers must learn continue to expand. Many (all?) of the highest echelons of racing appear to be heading in the hybrid direction if not already there.

As I've posted on another Carpokes thread regarding the new T-Hybrid GTS 911s, the tech is pretty amazing. The "Engineering Explained" YouTube channel (he has almost 4 million subscribers which is a testament to the channel) has a fascinating look into the new Porsche GTS engine.
