It was unhappy at anything less than 80.
Nice Rob!!!

Wait, what is an Islero !?!? Did I just read what I looked up correctly? Manufactured in 1968 & 1969 and only 225 total made? 125 Islero base models and 100 Islero S models! V-12's too! Good grief!

Great story to the name too - "The car's namesake, Islero, was a Miura bull that killed matador Manuel Rodriguez "Manolete" on August 28, 1947"

I think lots and lots of money today - $400k ++ based on the following link.

Likely the most memorable was my Factory Five Cobra replica that I built myself. Took me 6 years to build it from 2008 to 2014, and then I drove it around for another 7 years till 2021. A great experience and many fantastic memories - in the pic I am accepting the best in class award at my company’s employee car show.

Factory Five has done such a great job with one of the best looking cars ever and yours is (was) gorgeous! Great color too.

Hats off for building it yourself and doing such an apparently magnificent job - that's something to be quite proud of!

1966 427 Big Block Corvette C2 Roadster that I had for 25+ years. Side pipes, knock-offs, both hard and soft tops. It was quite the car. In my opinion, the C2 gen Corvettes (1963 - 1967) were the best-looking of all Corvette generations.

I'm not at all biased.

I've had a number of fun cars over the years, but this one was the most fun I've had outside of my Porsches.

1981 323i (e21). German market car. For Americans not familiar with these, imagine an early 320i with small chrome bumpers, dual exhaust, 4-wheel discs, and a 2.3L high compression inline six. Mine had (once I was done upgrading it) Alpina/Bilstein suspension, factory BMW Recaro seats, limited slip, and staggered 15" BBS with 50-series Pirellis. A total riot to drive.

This was the car I sold to first get into Porsches. 1971 Datsun 240Z, a survivor that I refreshed with period-correct enhancements. (You don't want to know what it took to get that Bolder Tint in the windshield reproduced...)

Sold to a buyer in Oslo, Norway in 2011.

Very nice looking Z. Body looks incredibly straight which was a never-ending challenge for the rust-prone 240's, especially in certain parts of the country. (Like MI where I had mine. Oh my goodness. Salt heaven.)

I love the early Datsun Z-cars. Wish I still had my '72 that I put 175k miles on many, many years ago. I have pics but all are regular photos - you know, olden days photos from film - negatives and slides. Would have to dig them out and scan 'em, assuming there was any color left. (Probably have faded quite a bit by now.)

There was a time you could tell where a car spent most of its life by looking at the rear wheel well lips, dog legs, or rockers...not so any more on newer cars though some older cars ravaged by the tin worm still survive.

The tin worm - that's a new one for me! I like it.
