There's a version on Thingiverse, but its very primitive and not OEM-looking. They come up on eBay, but are typically $30 for faded used platic caps.

Could I ask some late 944 owners to take/post some pictures of the caps that go on the windshield wiper nuts (i.e., the style shown in the picture below). They are NLA it seems, so (naturally) I want to model news ones and print them on my good 3D printer.
Trying to figure out, among other things, if the top sits flush with the arm or sticks up a little proud of the arm where the cap meets the arm?

And I figure it may be something others may want them too....

It looks like my S2 has the same caps as pictured on the first post. Please excuse the general dirtiness and overspray from a (bad) respray by the PO.

That's super helpful, thank you! In that first picture, I assume you could push the cap down a bit so it sits more like the second picture? Either way, these pictures confirm what I suspected -- that the cap does not sit flush against the arm across the straight edge....

Correct, the first picture should look like the second, I just wasn't able to do it with the angle/leverage I had. From the original picture, that little tab on the cover should sit in that cast slot on the arm, so it may also be that I have some gunk in that arm that I need to clean out.

I agree that they look really nice already, on your Rev 0.
That's some nice resolution you have there, or did you work on the part a little after printing?
ETA Random idea: Can you incorporate a little Porsche crest? It seems like it would fit there very nicely.

That's the beauty of resin printers. It prints at about 1/20mm per layer, so most parts come out looking smooth as a molded part. That one wasn't sanded or anything, but I did hit it with black primer to get the best visual on the arm. I think this version is just a little bit too tall. I just reduced it a mm and am going to print again. I like the Porsche crest idea. I'd just need to find something I could incorporate into the model without trying to draw it myself...Zirconocene wrote: Mon Jul 11, 2022 10:58 am I agree that they look really nice already, on your Rev 0.

p.s., I should have said first try worth sharing. I think that was the 3rd or 4th that I've printed, inching closer to 'just right' each time....
