944 turbo/S2 Fog light lenses and end pieces mission!

Hello,

I'd like to make it a Carpokes mission to print fog light lenses and end pieces! The lenses and end pieces would be a game changer given the lenses are not sold individually and end pieces are ridiculously expensive!

Yes the factory lenses are glass but most out there are pitted and a nice plastic replacement would work fine if it mimics the light pattern.

Anyone up for the challenge!

The prices aren't hugely that expensive in pieces.... if you order today, they're is 15% off. I placed an order for a different part, they gave me another code for 15% that doesn't expire today...

Getting 3D CAD files made that have all the right curvatures of the OE lens is going to be very time consuming. Then outsourcing the print to a service that will make it because the size is larger than most build volumes of units that people own. That will result in a price that could end up being more than the part cost... volume cost will only help erase the development of the CAD time...

I've been upgrading my 3D scanning skills/hardware lately. I'll see if I can get a good scan of this lens. It's probably too big for my resin printer, but I'm sure you could have someone like Xometry make it in clear resin...

Actually. I’ve bought the glass lenses already. What I think everyone needs are the housings. Be able to 3d print something similar to the aftermarket ones sold in Europe would be perfect.
