I'm considering adding a Boxster for a drop top.
Is there a year that is better than another? I'd also consider a 987.1 or 987.2.

Thanks ya'll.

The late great Bruce Anderson used to always say to buy the newest Porsche you can afford. He was generally talking about the 911, but the same no doubt holds true with the Boxster. If you are considering that era, I'd be cautious about .1 cars with the original failure-prone IMS bearings!

Very much lean to my 2018 Boxster GTS Cab. Dollar for dollar, speed and power can’t be beat. (My opinion 😁)

Thanks all for the feedback.
As much as I love 911s, for some reason I just keep craving another Boxster.
My first Porsche ever was a 2005 Boxster S and several years ago I had a 2006 Boxster just for fun that I sold. I'm feeling the itch again for sure.

I would look for a '15 or '16 981, preferably a GTS.

I would have to agree with Southbama! The 981's are great! I had a 14 base Boxster and loved it. I stepped up to the 21 GTS Cayman basically because I could not find exactly what I wanted used in a 981.

I'm working the wife to get buy-in. Wish me luck...

The 2013 981 Boxster S that I bought for my wife still looks and drives like the day we took delivery 10 years ago. Prices went up this past year. The dealer has been trying to buy it back since it is in mint condition with less than 15k miles.
