Any of the members here in Atlanta? I'm just kicking the tires on where might be a good fun drive! I used to go up to the Lake Burton area as that was always scenic and fun, but that's been a while. just looking for somewhere to get away and cruise for an afternoon.
Cheers,

Going to N. GA mountains is a nice (not spirited) drive. From Atlanta take GA-400 North. There are a few wineries to visit and relax (Wolf Mountain Vineyards is a good place. Owner is a Porsche guy).

Traffic can be a pain in some areas, and of course there are multiple welcoming parties with radars in hand :).

If you want to drive a bit longer, more of a spirited drive. Tail of the Dragon is a good exciting drive.

Good call on Wolf Winery. Will have to check them out. Normally when we go up there, we go 985 up through Tallulah Falls and that area.

FWIW, last time I was up close to the Tail, there were alot of other roads that were more fun to drive and less populated.
Maybe next time I'm up that way I mark them or something. Its been a few years, but we enjoyed some of the side roads a lot too.

Just looking for something fun and the like that is an enjoyable stroll and something to do in the middle like that winery.
Will have to check them out here soon! Thanks!

I have been wanting to put together a drive for my club to Wolf Mountain Vineyards from East TN!

Another Atlantian here.

There are a number of enthusiasts in the area and of course, Elliot (944 Barn) is located up in Blairsville who parts out 944's.

Hi

I'm in Gainesville

Montaluce in Dahlonega is also a great winery.

They have a good restaurant and it's almost like being in Tuscany when the weather warms up.
