Carpokes was begun by a Porsche Owner in California ( Tom ) and it is no surprise that the State has a large number of members on this Forum. Please take time to voice your support for those who may be going through the worst California weather situation in their entire lives. Though I am in Nebraska it just happens I did alot of business in Californian and with so many friends and past customers I am concerned for many of them. I have been unable to get in touch with two friends and I know I am far from being alone. If you are in the Golden State , drop us a note if you are able and let us know you are doing fine. Your fellow Carpokes wish you the best but do reach out and let us know you are literally weathering the storm ----- let's hope the worst is over by the end of today or early on Tuesday.

Your fellow members are concerned and thinking of you.

Thanks for your support! All I can say is that it's mighty hard to paint mode dial covers in this weather! Narration by Mrs. Carpokes. Back-up power by Generac 22kw. Back-up Internet by Starlink. Hoping everyone stays safe and dry out there!

Best wishes that you do not have any damage. I have a place in Scottsdale so not that far from CA.

A wonderful post, WillyDaP...thanks for speaking for all of us. I have two daughters in LA, and seeing videos and reading reports of the situation is scary. That area doesn't get rain on a regular schedule, so with poor drainage, it causes flooding. Be safe, CA friends.

Thanks, we are fortunate to have back-up power, tv, internet, etc. They reported over 400k homes without power since yesterday. That alone can be life-threatening for people who depend on it for medical support. We have family members who depend on oxygen concentrators, for example, and one had to come here last night when the last of their back-up batteries died. Here's a map of the PG&E (power company) outages. We're the blue dot. I know they are working like crazy, but that's a LOT of power outages to get to, and that's just Northern California....

They don't have an ETA, but at least they were able to determine the likely cause of the outage. :wtf:

A lot of people (including me) take power for granted sometimes. It must be just terrifying for those who rely on it for medical support right now. Great post, thank you.

It is a monster storm. Hope that it's losing steam by now and that damage will be at least relatively contained so that all can get back to normalcy sooner rather than later.
