Lifter dropped off at the machine shop.
Looking forward to see what they can do.

Not yet
They are taking a look when they get a chance.
Already doing a few other projects for me.
They are also newly producing a bunch of medical equipment so I am trying not to ask for too many favors at once.

I have, just have not been up there to pick up my new cam tower. Once I do, I will post pictures for you guys here. 10X better MB diesel lifters that weigh less. Note: not a direct fit, 1mm over sized but the mod to the cam tower was cheap, way cheaper than than one OEM lifter. The lifters are about $12 each too, totally rebuildable, and much larger button.

I assume this is the same lifter David F reference above in this thread? Boring the cam tower should be simple enough... I don't know that I can stomach spending $2k for 8 PCNA lifters. (Especially since their INA brethren previously sold for less than a quarter of that.) So, if these lifters prove reliable and non-problematic, I'll be an early adopter. But I'll wait for some real world test-beating before trusting my new motor to them... Does anyone have them in a running motor yet?RUG8RB8 wrote: Sat Aug 21, 2021 8:39 am I have, just have not been up there to pick up my new cam tower. Any updates on the over-sized Mercedes lifters?
I measured my lifters today.
I know they are 38mm diameter.
I also measured 32mm height
Inside wall 11.40mm
Button height 0.55mm
Thickness. 32mm - 11.40mm + 0.55mm
Can everyone who can measure to see what you get?
Thanks

Just regular old 8-valve lifters you mean? I can measure those in the morning if so.... What are you trying to figure out?
