car: 1986 turbo (front wheels)

is there a difference between these two wheels:

951.362.115.00 - 7Jx16 ET23.3

and

911.362.115.00 - 7Jx16 ET23.3

or are they the same wheel just stamped differently for 911 vs 944 turbo?

I’m getting ready to paint a pair and hoping they will match the 8Jx16 ET23.3 if I ever eventually find two of those.

Well, after some more research, I come to find out that there is a difference in how deep the lugnut seats are recessed in the 951's vs the 911's. Which makes me wonder if the 911 wheel/hub studs are longer than the 951?

The 951 16x7 Fuchs are the only 16x7 Fuchs that will clear your front brakes on the 86 Turbo.

The 911 16x7 Fuchs will not fit, and only came as a squared setup on NA models optioned with 16" wheels (82-86).

I believe you can run squared 16x8 Fuchs no issues, but please do not quote me on this.

Sadly, I just found this out when I tried one of these on the front of my car. Looks like I have another couple items going on the garage sale part of this site...

Thanks!
