My 911 recently "ate" a spark plug. Driving at 83 mph in a 75 mph zone. Has this happened to anyone else?

Ouch, sorry about that. I have not seen or heard of that. What actually happened to the plug? Did it damage the motor itself?

Oh, and welcome to Carpokes. :)

Was 120 miles from San Diego on I8 in AZ. The car shook violently. By going to super sport and manual 4th gear and keeping at 4000 rpm when possible made it. Carlsbad Porsche replaced the plug under warranty and said all tests were okay. I contacted Porsche NA and tried to get an extended warranty on the engine but no dice.
Thanks for the welcome.
