Mobil 1 motor oil
This is a F Y I post.........Both Amazon and Wal Mart websites are incorrectly stating that the correct ESP X3 0W-40 oil has been re-bottled and re-labeled as "Supercar". That is absolutely incorrect, as I confirmed with a Mobil 1 technician by phone today. The sites even show both bottles side by side, with "old bottle" and "new bottle" photos. The correct Mobil 1 part number is 124798.

It's getting to the point that the only way to be sure that you're getting the real thing is to buy directly from a Porsche dealer.

Thanks for the information, I have 9 quarts of the stuff on the shelf waiting for my first oil change however it is always nice to know for the next time I need to buy some. In looking at one of these bottles, I don't see the part number anywhere.
I purchased these 9 quarts from the dealer as I had a $100 gift card. Looks like Autozone has it in stock for $11.48, the dealer charged me $9.50 a quart but that was part of an oil change kit. It seems that the availability of this is still not all that great at the local stores.

Yes, the part number is nowhere to be found on the bottle, but you can use it with an auto parts supplier and they should be able to identify, per Mobil 1. My dealer does not have it (what a shock). Just make certain that the bottle shows ESP X3 0W-40 on the front, and C40 spec on the back.
