I've always loved GT Silver, I think it is the closest to German Silver Metallic which as I understand it was the official Gran Prix color of Germany. Classic color, easy to keep clean, goes with almost any interior colors, what's not to like?

These dealers are really doing a disservice their customers. People have long memories, to me you should order the cars directly from the factory, those parasitic dealers should lose their franchise, period!Tom wrote: Wed Nov 30, 2022 9:29 amAgreed, such a special car deserves PTS, or Guards Red.blueline wrote: Wed Nov 30, 2022 9:00 am I've been on the short list for one for a long time (since it was first rumored, actually). Close to the top but no one seems to know how many 4RSs will be made, so it's still probably a long shot.
Anyway, thinking a PTS might be unique if an allocation comes through.Unfortunately, it feels like these cars are mostly just going to the highest bidders who are willing to pay $60-$100k ADM. Hopefully that dies down a bit after the initial wave, and after the Spyder RS is out...

Unfortunately, Porsche is apparently turning a blind eye to the practice and/or skirting the issue. Politicians in other words.718-4Me wrote: Tue Apr 11, 2023 12:46 pmThese dealers are really doing a disservice their customers. The following is mostly a repeat of what I posted in another Carpokes thread (my words and interpretation except for the direct quotes):
In the latest issue of Panorama (March '23) starting on p36, Porsche Board of Regents Chairman Mike Sullivan did say that Porsche wants their dealers to "sell for as close to MSRP as possible", referring to Porsche's special cars. He said that dealers who do so are being rewarded, but he stopped there - no details, kind of vague.
He also said Porsche's normal cars (SUV's mostly) are selling in a normal manner, meaning savvy or payment-conscious customers are negotiating for pricing at or less than MSRP.
Sullivan also said that about half of the Porsche dealers in the U.S. are selling special cars for over MSRP. There was no condemnation of the practice.

@Crazy Eddie
Hi Eddie - your bolster covers are still awesome! Thanks again - I love 'em.
The GT4RS you pictured in this topic you started is awesome as well. It needs to stay alive, so just an FYI that I'm going to move it from the "986, 987, 981..." sub-forum to the "718..." sub. I'll leave a shadow copy that will remain for a few days.
