In working to remove the camshaft pulley (to replace seals), on my 1986 944 Turbo, I had to destroy the adapter to get it apart. Does anyone have a spare they would sell? The attached picture has the offending part circled. The others are to help with where the part generally fits (because I was not sure what people call it). You can’t get just that part, but can get the rotor and sleeve with screws from Porsche for a list price of around $160.
Thank you

Any interest in this one? The brass sleeve is what is left of the rotor after it was broken off. I'm sure it would come off with some combination of heat, twisting, maybe a dremel cut-off wheel, etc....

Hi Lee,

Just curious if you're familiar with Martin's Classic Cars and/or The Barn on Martin St in Huntsville?

I am not really familiar with either. I did look up Martin’s Classic Cars online. It looks really cool. Could not find anything on The Barn on Martin St., though. Do you have experience with them?

Not with the business, but I'm a friend of Martin's via our ChampCar and WRL race team which he has been a part of at times. All of our team is out of Huntsville except for me.

Martin is quite the Porsche/car guy. He knows the market so very well and I understand that his shop does some significant restorations, but my knowledge on that is only as an outsider.

PM sent. Send me your address and I'll send it out. And, good news, I put my little map gas torch on it, and the brass collar slid right off like hot butter. Probably a good technique for getting the rotor off in the first place when it is stuck this tight.

I never received your PM. I did send one to you, though. Did you get it.

Is there a setting I need to check or minimum number of posts I need to make to get PMs?
Thanks,
Lee
