Continuing my retrospective look into my journey towards Porsche ownership:

GTS Official! (July 14, 2021 - 19 months ago)

"Every enthusiast owes it to themselves to finagle a way to get behind the wheel of one of these cars. Just so that they, too, can really understand what a truly brilliant sports car is."

OK, old orders cancelled. Deposits returned.

A small note about how that went, as it was an indicator to me of just how unimportant we were to The Salesperson. We'd been musing aloud about GTSs with him and getting shut down each time, and when the time came to cancel our orders because we were going to move elsewhere, we emailed to request a meeting. No response. So we requested our deposits back also via email. Within minutes we'd received notifications of our deposits being credited back to us.

That's it. No email. No call. No attempt to contact us and discuss the cancellation. No effort to try and keep us as customers whatsoever. Or even just to say "Thanks and good luck".

Good riddance I say.

We weren't going to get cars until next summer anyway, so I'm not feeling bad about it at all.

Now, onto the positive! New GTS orders submitted with Christina The New Salesperson at a different dealership!

Feels GREAT!

Good to leave The Salesperson behind with his complete indifference to us. Good to go with a dealership who feel like they give a crap. I'm #4 on the list for an allocation (Andrew #3), but since we are looking into next year, that feels just fine.

At least we know where we stand.

And did I mention it?

GTS!!!!!!

Hahah you are right, it does feel a bit "saga-ish"...kind of epic - not in a grander, global kinda way, not in a Beowulf kinda way, but in terms of just two guys trying to get two cars, working towards p-car ownership kinda way...

...pretty darn 'epic'!

Hope people are enjoying
