So I took the 911 out last weekend to play in the snow. Not bad with the winter tires, but not as connected as an xdrive BMW on winters. Once I got used to the tail wagging, correcting was very easy. Turn the traction control to the ‘half’ setting seemed to make it better - a lit more slip, but a lot more forward progress. Then I took it home and washed it.

Over the last two days we got freezing rain, 8” of wet snow and another 3-4” of powder. So I took the more appropriate snow machine out today while the 911 rested in the garage:

Rest is good...for the 911 that is.

Undoubtedly that snow blower gets the job done.

I agree, tires are key. I’ve got a leftover set from my 15 Q7 in that size I believe. Now the wheels are unique to that year so I better separate and sell ‘em, or seek out a 15 Q7…

Spring will be here…

…not soon, but eventually.

Going to sound like I’m yelling at clouds, but our 25 year old, locked axle Ariens snowblower will chew through anything. Including heavy wet, frozen snow that bogs the newer machines. The modern, auto steer Ariens wonder doesn’t have the same power to cut width ratio, but works a lot faster in the typical dry Wisconsin snow. With a 30” cut, 4 passes makes a passable driveway in a short time.

As one of my friends said, “wait, did you say 100 yard long driveway?”
