It seems Porsche knows who I am. I have no problem here.

I just got the full build registration on my 2023 Porsche Turbo. It mentioned my current cars including my current cars back to my 2014 991.1. I am good with this as I may get a GT3RS one day.

Anyway, it is due for production in September with the same delivery date in November. It will be at Amelia Island for the WERKS Reunion next year in March, 2023.

The current one is a 2020 992 3.0L Carrera (great car BTW):

Tom,
The trade-in saves me $7500 in taxes. Yet, I may be able to sell it for more one day (not counting on this).

I can also race the car with my license and helmet in a big race in September with the same trade-in value (please don't mention this to the dealer).

Count yourself lucky! In California, we get zero sales tax reduction for trading in a car. Whatever the new car costs, that's what you pay sales tax on.

I have no clue why this is the law?

I'd probably buy one and just keep it? This adds nothing to continuing the production of vehicles (no matter the maker) to expand our workers and our economy?

Just saying, I'd kept my old 2014 991.1 Porsche Carrera. It is a great car:
