Showing how Porsche 'could' stop all the big dealer ADM's and flippers these days, General Motors says it's going to revoke allocations to dealers who mark up cars too much, and -- get this -- VOID WARRANTIES on flipped cars.... It will probably end up in court, but it shows how serious GM is about not letting its dealers charge huge mark-ups for Z06's and other popular cars and/or selling to high volume flippers. Porsche, in contrast, almost seems to be encouraging it with its policy of giving 918 owners first dibs on rare models (ahem, GT4RS, 911 Sport Classic, cough, cough) -- many of which I suspect are just a windfall for 918 owners who gladly sell them at a premium. Sigh.....

GM needs volume. Porsche needs its dealers to be happy and not discount the product. IMO Porsche is winking and tacitly approving of ADM/flipping as long as Porsche can sell all they make without incentives.
Porsche is quite good at premium product merchandising- like Louboutin. Everyone looks when they see a Porsche or killer Louboutin heels.
