Recommended options for GTS 4.0

I have a 2022 Cayman GTS 4.0 on order. Even though the GTS includes a lot of amenities there is still a plethora of costly options. I’m still undecided about a couple of items. I would sincerely appreciate recommendations and comments regarding the following:
1. Ventilated seats - some say they are a “must have” option while others have stated that the seats are firmer than the non ventilated ones and collect a lot of dirt in the holes.
2. Upper dash leather trim - this is an expensive option that I’m not sure is worth the $$$.
Thanks!

Leather wrapped steering column is a nice addition if you have any deviated stitching.

Thanks for the recommendation! That was on my decision list.

If you get a black interior, the vented seats aren’t a problem. After two years, I did take a safety pin to dig out something like three holes. I guess it depends on what you do in your interior and how you keep it maintained.

I've had them in my 911s and thought they were fine on comfort and definitely made use of the cooling feature here in Texas. They weren't a possible option in the GT4 so I hope I don't miss them.
And like DanN says above, you will on rare occasion need to dislodge something that gets in a ventilation hole. I first try it with a vacuum which pulls up most things, but occasionally I'd have to use a toothpick or bamboo skewer tip to clear a hole.
Here's a trivia item. The ventilation doesn't actually blow air out of the holes, it sucks it in and exhausts it beneath the seats. Apparently pulling the warm/moist air away from your legs and derriere is more effective. It's hard to tell but it makes sense.

Smoking package and passenger side net are no cost options and worth it!

Bzzz, if you live in a hot region I’d def do vent seats. In Texas, they’re standard eqpt lol. The leather upper dash is more subjective/personal - might be better served to use that $ for other options.

One of the most distinctive features about the GTS model is the default availability of the RaceTex/leather seats. (You can't get those with ventilation though, just heating.) If you get the base GTS interior, the door cards and lower dashboard trim are just plain vinyl. But if you upgrade to the leather interior for an additional $2,160, not only do you get the leather dash with black stitching, it also comes with RaceTex on the glovebox and lower dash trim, plus better door cards with black leather stitching and more RaceTex. If you do get RaceTex, consider going with a leather steering wheel (a $0 option), since a RaceTex wheel will start looking a bit tatty after 5-10 years of just normal skin oils (BTDT).
If you don't care about RaceTex, and/or you want the ventilated seats, then consider one of the two-tone leather interiors for $2,590 extra. These are a good option (imho) because they include the deviated stitching throughout the car. The Black/Red and Black/Tan combos look sharp in person! (I've not see the Black/Chalk version, so can't vouch for that.)
You can get GTS wheels in the traditional color (instead of black) for $0. Also, the Premium Package give you a lot (imho) for $3,500.

^^ Agree, that Black/Bordeaux interior looks really nice, especially with GT Silver. I came close to going that route but in the end did an all black leather interior with custom stitching.

Sounds like my build - I’m waiting for a GT Silver car with all black leather interior, chalk seatbelts and chalk deviated stitching.
