Looking forward to discussions without the drama. I have an '83 944 Alpine white on brown . Since taking ownership I have gone over every inch of this car to learn, repair, and keep it out of a repair facility. Original intent was to be a track rat, but now going back to rather stock configuration. Thanks for the lead Tom.

Welcome aboard! Same here, I've had my car since the 90's and can't remember every letting a shop work on it, other than alignment, r12 evacuation (before going to r134a), and body work. Please post pics of your early white car. Alpine white with that brown interior is one of the best color combos I'd say. I had a 335is that was white over brown and my 992 is white, so I guess I'm biased. In any event, welcome to Carpokes!
p.s., C5 as in the Chevy or Lockheed?

yes, alignments I bail out on as well. I actually don't have many pics but after my repaint I will.
C5... I do get asked that a lot. Never flew the Lockheed and closest would have been Space shuttle simulators when working at NASA. C5 started with my 98 Corvette, then had a C5 Audi A6 twin turbo, so still fit.
