I know I’m not the only nut here cleaning the wheels this way when cleaning the car. I do this about twice a year

I doubt it’s cleaner. Your car looked spotless. it was the the color difference was the shade where my car was parked vs the light in your garage.

These white wheels are so difficult to keep clean. Tried everything available but what worked best was ceramic coating. Lasted couple years but wearing out now. It made cleaning much easier and didn’t get dirty as fast.

Yes ceramic coating did it for me. Definitely made cleaning much easier.
