Windshield sunscreen

Just picked up an interior sunscreen for my 992.
I had to order it from the USA since it’s not available in Canada.
It’s an official Porsche part PNA 505-992-19.
I got mine from http://getporschesilverspringparts.com/ because they gave me a good rate on shipping.

From everything I read online I got the impression this was some magical item coming from Germany. Turns out it’s just a branded Covercraft item.

But for you USA folks I think the Porsche pricing is better. Plus it comes with a Porsche branded carry case, and has the Porsche logo. Otherwise they are the same.

The fit is a bit odd. It doesn’t sit flush against the windshield like my old BMW one from Weathertech. It sort of sits off it by a centimetre or so, against the full perimeter. That is it only tucks into where the windshield and dashboard meet. It is held down by the two visors, otherwise it won’t stay up.

But it is a quality piece it seems— so worth a shot.

I bought mine from Suncoast also. Haven't tried it yet.

I have the same one. The plus side is that it fits the windshield like a glove, but the down side is that it's super bulky so hard to keep in the car and have handy. I have a very old roll-up screen I bought from Methuselah (circa 1980's), which I tend to use first unless I really plan ahead...

I have one as well (from my 981). Works well but it is bulky and I have to keep it on the back shelf due to the size which makes it tough to get to at times. I also have my front windsheild tinted to help in the event I dont get a chance to put it up.

Yep it's Covercraft. Identical design and good fit as the ones for my '91 M5 (now unobtainium) and X1 35xi. Our Cayman has a perfect place to stash it tho, under the net on the shelf.
