I recently had my calipers rebuilt by PMB Performance for my 1988 911. After sending my original calipers off and receiving them back there were plating issues and all 4 calipers were leaking after bleeding the system, but I had a firm pedal until enough fluid leaked out (reservoir never went dry). Needless to say I was quite distraught. PMB sent out replacement calipers after they drained their plating tanks, they pressure tested the calipers after I requested this (not normally done). I installed the new calipers, pads and brake hardware and power bled the system. I pumped the Schwaben power bleeder up to 15#’s and started with the right rear caliper. That is until I noticed a pool of brake fluid under the car. I am not quite sure what happened but it appeared fluid blew past the 2 stock fabric hoses from the reservoir best I can figure out. Once again the reservoir never ran dry, cleaned up my mess, put small hose clamps on the blue fabric hoses and started to beheld the system again at 10#’s.

I now have calipers without leaks, but my pedal travels 3/4 of the way to the floor. The pads grab the rotors when pedal is held, but when released the pads move away from the calipers and the front wheels spin with absolutely no friction. I have bled the system 4 times, including a gravity bleed. Anyone have any ideas what’s going on?
