Am I missing something, or is there just one too many 0's?!

It's apparently correct. And while I would not have any interest, I'd say it's legit considering the provenance and other history.
From PCA's website:
"1 of 38 Porsche 944 Turbo Cups for the 1988 Rothmans Porsche Turbo Cup series, chassis number 165076 was first delivered in Black to Porsche Downtown Fine Cars in Toronto, Canada in April 1988. Its serialized service book further confirms its C36 Canadian provenance and features the all-important M754 option code signifying its status as a factory-built 944 Turbo Cup. For 1989, this Turbo Cup competed as the 7UP guest car, featuring celebrity drivers: Jacques Villeneuve (brother of Gilles and uncle to his F1 and Indy 500 champion namesake), Don Fuller, Scott Goodyear, Bruce Jenner, Davy Jones, Jim McKenzie, Mercedes Stermitz, and Roland Asch.
At the conclusion of the 1990 Rothmans series, the car was purchased by ex-Porsche racing legend David Donahue to launch his race career in the EMRA series in the USA.
This car is street legal with a clear Texas title and road registration (comes with street and racing exhaust systems). A 35-year documentation file comes with the car to track its ownership history and service records. During my ownership, I’ve invested over $60,000 - including $35,000 for a complete engine rebuild with a new crankshaft, Carrillo connecting rods, forged Wossner racing pistons, cylinder head refresh, bearings, gaskets and other engine accessory parts. The factory magnesium cup wheels have been powder coated for durability.
