Hello! This is on the low mile 944 I have recently posted about. I managed to get the car to go around 100KM from when i bought it, then the odometer stopped working. I figure its just the normal gear, so i get the cluster apart and such to see what type it is (being in KM I wasnt sure) turns out it doesnt look like the normal one at all from what i can tell. Anyways in the pictures i highlighted the last gear to turn. i can turn the odometer gears by hand, but what ive noticed is the grey gear at the right side of the odometer spins without spinning the shaft it sits on. my guess is the gear that i see spinning, is supposed to be connected to the grey gear via the shaft, and for some reason there is no friction between the two. Can someone confirm this? and follow up, if thats the case, im just going to glue it and call it a day, but how d i get there. i took the face off ann there is 3 screws, i removed them but it still wont seperate. seems like its stuck on the speedometer shaft but im scared to force anything. The sooner someone could help me the better, I want to drive the car but based on the mileage dont want to drive it without an updating odometer
