Didn’t want to pay $600+ for an expansion tank so I found this one on Amazon for $85 and thought I’d take my chances on it. I was afraid it was going to be thin flimsy plastic but it’s just like the Porsche one. Very impressed with it so far.

I’ll be installing it this weekend. I’ll let you know after running it for a while. By the way you should get one of these. Makes filling the coolant system a breeze. No need to “bleed” the system.

Consider me interested in this reservoir as well.

Regarding the vacuum coolant fill system: I use that same one and find I still have to bleed some air out of the system, but it really cuts down on how much air needs to be bled.

I bought what I imagine is the same unit off of AliExpress. Recently fitted. No problems sealing so far, even though I'm having an overheating problem and for sure pressure tested it to the full 15psi of my rad cap.

Fitment wasn't perfect and had to yard on it a little bit (maybe 5mm) to line of the 3 mounting points, but nothing that felt too extreme.

I've got my old one which functions perfectly but is a very authentic shade of brown/yellow if someone wants a good deal on an factory unit.

edit: I've been using the Vevor pressure tester, and it's been great for both testing and bleeding. I trust it more than a vacuum bleeder as it stresses the seals in the right direction. I ended up with an extra one through a Vevor error, and they didn't ask for it back, so that's also up for grabs to a community member - preferably local to SF Bay Area.

If you can see the coolant level through the tank is it even a real 951 anymore?

Great tip. I have the stant version of it. It’s a fantastic tool. I’ve found that These cars have so many internal vertical lips that even with a pressure test in the fill process they need a number of bleed cycles to truly get every last bit of air out.

EDIT: just realized that’s a true vacuum filler. Yeah you are right. That tool is amazing and I should totally get one ha ha

Haven’t been able to install it yet. Hopefully this weekend. But just looking at the construction of it I don’t really anticipate any issues but I will update when I get it installed.

Does it have the level lines? Just curious.
