WTB - 85+ OE Injectors - S3 and S4

Looking to buy used OE Bosch injectors for 85+ cars.

I swapped for a set of new Ford 302 19lb injectors from five-o motorsports a decade-plus ago. Different o-rings but functionally identical. I cleaned and lubricated the originals to keep in the support drawer. In the meanwhile the genuine Ford injectors have been perfect. I know there's a ton of junk in the market masquerading as OEM Bosch, and appreciate the desire for originals, but there are decent subs available from reputable sources.

Just looking now at https://www.fiveomotorsport.com/gen-4-o ... rsche-928/ they are $75 each, more than double what I paid way back when. Yikes!

I bet a nickel those are lower-flow versions of the injectors I have from Five-O. Surprisingly controllable and precise for a mystery injector. :)

The ones I got were absolutely plug-and-play replacements, needing only the o-rings swap. I was chasing a symptom of gradually-increasing NOx readings, on the verge of failing inspections. Plugs looked good with no light/lean indications. I took the opportunity to have the intake and cam covers powder-coated at the same time. Injector replacement resulted in barely-passing NOX readings going to virtually none. It also solved a bit of uneven idle that I didn't know I had until it went away.

FWIW, I since assembled a kit of stuff to do both on- and off-car injector cleaning. For the on-car, a large cannister is filled with Berryman's B12, and connects to the front fuel rail cap. Adjust the air pressure on the cannister to about 75 PSI and pinch the return hose from the FPR, so the engine is running on straight B12. FP fuse is out. Exercise the throttle some to get it to pass a quart or three as fast as no-load revs will allow. I do that every couple years, no issues since the new injectors went in.

I throw three or four bottles in the tank if I'm taking a long enough drive to push it all through the same day. Less for a partial tank and a shorter drive. I've been putting some in for hibernation season too, along with some StaBil. All prophylactic, and working so far. Car springs right to life in the spring; not even a just-woke-up yawn. Does all this stuff really help? Um, sure. Good results, and I'm just not quite ready to test the downsides of not doing it.
