Login expiring
Is anyone else getting forced to login a lot today? Normally I stay logged in for weeks or months but today it's been a matter of hours. Not a big deal to me, I just wanted to raise it in case it's an indication of something that needs to be looked at.

Yes for me. It's been occurring randomly for a month or more. It will be fine for a period of time and then suddenly happen repeatedly, maybe multiple times over the course of a few minutes. That happened earlier today. I kept getting logged out, maybe eight or more times this morning over a 5-minute period after which all was normal again.johnb wrote: Sat Feb 21, 2026 12:43 pm Is anyone else getting forced to login a lot today? Typically for me, the logouts will occur in bunches and then be back to normal with zero issues for hours or maybe an entire day.
I'm accessing Carpokes via a PC and I always have an open Carpokes tab so I may be having more issues than others. I don't access Carpokes very often via smartphone but it has happened there too - app or web access. Also, scrolling in usual portrait mode on the phone has become an issue recently. It takes multiple swipes to get full movement at times. This is on a new Pixel 10 XL Pro. I don't have the same scroll issues elsewhere.
Regarding PC access, I feel it may be browser related. Are you by chance using Firefox?

Yeah I'm using Firefox. And it's only on my laptop that I'm getting logged out, not the phone. But actually I have exactly the same scrolling issue as you on my phone (Android Chrome). I discovered that you can scroll consistently if you use the very edge of the screen.blueline wrote: Sat Feb 21, 2026 1:45 pmYes for me. It's been occurring randomly for a month or more. Good tip using the edge of the screen of the phone via scrolling. I'll give that a shot.johnb wrote: Sat Feb 21, 2026 2:08 pmYeah I'm using Firefox. I use Chrome and Firefox on the many PCs about the house. Firefox is the primary but I know it has compatibility issues here and there, mostly because some developers don't always optimize their sites for Firefox. However, I've used it forever and like it so it will continue to be main browser for me with Chrome a close second. There is much to like about Firefox, compatibility warts and all
I recently left an active Carpokes logon open for a week or so on Chrome and, while I was still mostly using Firefox for CP, Chrome never logged me out. I'm fairly certain there is some kind of security-related, protection-oriented Firefox bug with certain types of page and link navigation on Carpokes that's triggering the logout issues. I've been trying to find the pattern but it's elusive. The random nature of the occurrences also hinder discovery. It will likely get fixed via an update at some point.

There may be a combo of things going on here. I’ve been updating server and cookie settings, moving servers, and clearing caches over the past month, so it wouldn’t shock me if that explains some of it. Sorry about that, price of progress and all.
That said, I didn’t change anything today....
Your login session lives in a browser cookie. If that cookie is expired or tied to a slightly different domain (www vs non-www; http vs https. etc.), it may not work. Firefox can sometimes expose config issues more so than other browsers too. I'd suggest you clear ALL Carpokes cookies and start fresh. If it’s still acting up, try logging in both ways: https://carpokes.com and https://www.carpokes.com (check the address bar to see how you the site is loading -- via www or not). This can help narrow down whether that’s the issue. If it continues after that, let me know and I'll investigate a bit more on my end...

I keep cache and the like relatively clean and have specifically cleared Carpokes cookies several times attempting to prevent or narrow down the issue.
Regarding https carpokes vs the https www carpokes, it doesn't matter. Chrome and Firefox both revert to the https www after a click no matter which of the urls I load.
It does seem that navigation moves are triggering the logoff - I just haven't been able to pin down an exact pattern.
Also, I don't think it's a "today" issue. It's been a randomly and illogically occurring glitch for me for a month or so.
As I mentioned, my hunch is that it's a Firefox issue. Maybe it's due to changes you've made that randomly don't play well with Firefox, but it could also just be a Firefox bug or an overly protective response that some area of Carpokes is triggering. Just guesses.
