I have owned my 1995 C2 for about two months now and it's been a great experience so far. I love the ability to diy most anything on this car, depending on one's capabilities and willingness to dive in. I'm not an experienced mechanic by any means, and the really big jobs (engine out, seals, transmission repair, etc), I leave to my local independent Porsche mechanic, who has been incredibly helpful in enabling my hobby and projects!
a list so far:
new tires, bent wheels replaced with refurbished Cup 2's
corner balance and alignment (at the shop)
brake flush
air and cabin filters replaced (ugh, the cabin ones were gross!)
gear fluid change (don't think it had ever been done)
replaced locking lug nuts
new driver side door seal and door handle gaskets
replaced funny looking kenwood aftermarket radio with a Continental TR7412
Rennline phone holder
removed tachometer, cleaned haze behind the glass and replaced
repaired broken fog light mounting tab, front right
repaired broken plastic door pocket mounting brackets (both sides)
new floor mats
replaced rear decklid struts (what a pain!)
FD pad keeper
leather reconditioning, dye and topcoat applied to seats, steering wheel and shift knob, looks great!
Numeric short shift kit (discovered the front guide rod on oem setup was hanging free, failed bushing!)
RS motor mounts
replaced cassette holder in rear center console with cup holder
paint correction, ceramic coated body and wheels (CSL, Exo V5, C5 on wheels)
Pending:
LED projectors/bulbs for headlights, coming from UK
Things that will be needed eventually, but ok for now:
small timing chain cover and rear main seal leaks, hopefully they won't become big leaks too soon
clutch linkage, master/slave replacement (occ clutch pedal partial return)
So, what else should i attend to?
Running out of projects!

Nice to see what all you've done - good summation and great work too!
I like the blue - blues are always great choices in my book. Your C2 is beautiful.

No experience with Numeric on a 993 but the ones I installed on my GT4 are superb. High quality, look great and work wonderfully. Huge improvement over flimsy OEM pedal covers that came with the car.rchaas wrote: Sun Feb 15, 2026 1:27 pm Any of you 993/964 owners installed numeric pedals? I am thinking about those as well....

Update! I installed Bi-LED projectors and Osram high beam bulbs, huge improvement. I can now drive at night, confident I can see and be seen! Sourced from emtuning.co.uk and highly recommended.
Pic doesn't do justice to how much brighter.

Any feedback on the numeric shift kit? I have one sitting around that I haven't installed yet, purchased based off of good feedback on their watercooled shifters.
Also, definitely replace front control arm bushings with some polybushes and add the steering rack brace. I have straight poly, but would go with the Powerflex polybronze ones if I were doing it again (Powerflex ones weren't on the market when I did them initially). Makes a big difference on steering feel. If your suspension is tired, I like my PSS10 coilovers as a nice streetable option that aren't too spendy.
