Failure to start

So I replaced the relay board as well as the 14 pin connector and the engine started right up. I shut it down to lower the lift and reinstall the air cleaner assembly. Back in the car and it fails to start! The fuel pump is working but no crank. The previous owner installed a “hot start” relay next to the starter. I’m getting 12.4v to the starter and the relay but no action. All connections are solid. I’m thinking ignition switch. Any other suggestions?
In the course of working through these issues, I’ve had to replace several connectors as the wire is “worn” when it has had a chance to flex and bend. Pretty sure I’m going to replace the entire harness when I rebuild the engine next spring. Getting a little tired of chasing down these little issues over and over again. 52 year old harness, AAARRRGGGHHH!
